The 2010 meeting of the Philosophical Society of Texas will take place in San Angelo on December 3–5. The Society's president, J. Mark McLaughlin, and his committee are putting together a program on the subject of Stewardship: The Careful and Responsible Management of Things Entrusted to One's Care.
The annual meeting sessions wil be held at the San Angelo McNease Convention Center, located at 500 Rio Concho Drive. View map.
The San Angelo Regional Airport is served by American Eagle with 4 flights per day to the American Airlines link at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. The airport also offers 24 hour service for private aircraft.
Hotel reservations are available at the San Angelo Inn, a few steps from the Convention Center. Reservations should be made immediately, as we have guaranteed only a limited number of rooms to limit our financial obligation. Hotel reservation information is available at Accommodations.
The 2010 meeting will mark the last time the Society will meet in December. At the 2009 Business Meeting, the members voted to move the date of the annual meeting to the first Friday in February and the Saturday and Sunday immediately following. The Society will not meet in 2011 and will begin using the new meeting month for the 2012 meeting on February 3-5, 2012.
